Compensation

New LA offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000-$99,000 for fully credentialed teachers. Faculty members also receive a generous package of medical benefits, and enrollment in the California State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) retirement plan. Faculty members can choose to participate in an optional 403b plan.

 

New LA also provides in-house PD as well as a fund to allow teachers to attend outside PD or workshops. Teachers have opportunities to take on additional duties such as grade level leads, tutoring, summer school, and peer mentorship, etc. These additional positions are stipended roles. New LA also offers both mentorship and financial support for new teachers going through an induction program.
