Marina is a native of Los Angeles and grew up right here in the Mid-City area. She graduated from Cal State L.A. with a B. A. in Child Development and received her teaching credentials through UCLA. She has eight years of pre-K teaching experience as a lead teacher in the classroom. While in college, she had the opportunity to experience different student teaching internship programs that allowed her to work with all types of students with varying backgrounds. She has a strong passion to educate young minds and empower them to blossom and become successful individuals in the future. She is an enthusiastic facilitator with a knack for making learning exciting and enjoyable. Hands-on learning discoveries, inquiry based learning, and a love of learning are all at the forefront and focus of her classroom. Her personal hobbies include hiking, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her two wonderful boys. Marina is a fluent Spanish speaker.
